Key Finding
Five-fluorouracil-resistant colorectal cancer cells showed increased TCF4 and beta-catenin expression and suppression of CHK1 signaling. The findings linked Wnt-pathway activity, histone deacetylation, and CHK1-pathway inhibition in a mechanism associated with resistance, particularly in p53 wild-type cells.
Countstar Connection
Countstar (model not specified) measured cell numbers in the study's cell samples during growth assessment in the 2018 Experimental & molecular medicine study.
