Key Finding
Ovarian luteal cells exhibited steroidogenic specialization and microenvironmental synergy: endothelial cells coregulated TGFβ-driven angiogenesis and immune tolerance, while luteal-stromal PRL - PRLR interactions amplified progesterone synthesis and nutrient support. Spatial mapping revealed GCs' annular follicular distribution, mediating oocyte-somatic crosstalk, and luteal-endothelial colocalization supporting vascularization.
Countstar Connection
Researchers used a Countstar instrument to assess nuclei numbers in isolated nuclei before single-cell analysis in the 2025 Animals: an open access journal study.
