Key Finding
Overexpression of PTMA in primary mouse and rat cardiomyocytes significantly promoted cardiomyocyte proliferation and similarly enhanced proliferation in human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. These findings establish PTMA as a critical regulator of heart regeneration and suggest its potential as a therapeutic target for ischemic myocardial injury.
Countstar Connection
Measurement of cell number and viability in the study's cell samples was performed with Countstar (model not specified) during growth assessment in the 2025 Science advances study.
