Both gallium-based nanomedicines produced stronger antiproliferative effects in HCT116 cells than cisplatin and oxaliplatin, with higher intracellular reactive oxygen species and apoptosis. Their emissive properties also enabled in vivo imaging, while treatment showed antitumor activity in HCT116 tumor-bearing mouse models.
