Electrospun nanofibers were developed to co-deliver an antibiotic and beneficial probiotic bacteria for bacterial vaginosis. The study characterized release behavior and bacterial viability, showing how a combined local-delivery material could suppress pathogenic organisms while supporting restoration of a protective vaginal microbiome.
